Stop building your broker’s brand. Start building yours. Welcome to another episode of the hustling agent. The reason why so many people are telling you to do video is because it’s the most relevant way to actually stay relevant and build your personal brand. But the problem is you don’t know what to say and you don’t know where to get started.
The key to getting started off with video is to understand what your brand really is. What do you stand for? What’s your brand story? Let me give you an example. I have a friend. He calls himself the dude. He originally sold real estate and called himself the real estate dude. But then he switched careers and moved over to marketing and doing videos. As a matter of fact, he’s doing this video right now. But now he calls himself the marketing dude. Why? He’s been consistent with his brand of being a dude.
When you know what your brand is? It allows you to speak in your authentic voice, and that’s the key in creating authentic videos. You weren’t created to resonate with everybody, so don’t even try it. Being authentic in your videos: the key in converting more online leads and nurturing your sphere and your database and just people that already know and trust you.
This is why it’s so important. 60% of all communication is interpreted through tonality and the tone of your voice. 30% of all your communication is perceived through your body language. Here’s what’s interesting. People only retain 10% of what they hear. That means that 90% of people aren’t remembering a word that you say, and that’s why it’s so important to communicate through your brand identity. Because it comes across as authentic and not like something you’re forced to say.
Do you like doing market updates? Do you like sending out turn back the clock emails? Video is the best branding strategy for your real estate business. When do you know what to actually create videos on. Key creating a video strategy by your real estate business is to create an authentic brand. The key to being authentic is identifying and understanding what your brand really is.
